Die Zeit für Nettigkeiten ist vorbei — Summer 2024
The installation consists of two parts: a video and a small architectural object on a socle. The video is in the form of an interview and is about Polly Terana, a fictional character who wants to become immortal. She starts a whole transformation of her body, consuming enormous amounts of microplastics in order to achieve this goal. In the interview, Polly talks about her motivations and inspirations to become immortal, as well as her past and future plans on the topic. The whole life project of hers is part of the fictional Museum of the Innovations Berlin and is shown as an exhibited museum object.
The physical model on the other hand represents the plan of a mausoleum and sarcophagus that have to protect the body of Polly after she enters immortality, and keep it safe forever.
