"Bells and Cannons" is a generative sound sculpture. For centuries, bells were removed from bell towers in times of war and melted down into cannons for military purposes. The installation uses sounds from the deep ecology of time, hidden and encoded in the bells in Europe. In recent decades, the memory of war on the European continent faded. With the war in Ukraine, we are witnessing the return of tragedy on European soil. Ukraine reminds us that tragedy never disappears from human societies. Keeping the same materiality of the bells and cannons in the form of a sculpture and the form of an abstract cannon, the piece contains in the sound an aspect of war and bells and explores this cyclical historical phenomenon caused by man.
