Micro/Macro (Course) — Summer 2020
While in Quarantine, isolated from the rest of the world and confined to the owned limited space we tend to explore otherwise unquestioned conditions. Thinking about the tiny things around oneself, I looked down.
Ground truth is a term used in various fields to refer to information provided by direct observation (for example empirical evidence). To enhance the infinite detail and construct a perceivable layer the structure of the floor is captured in maximum detail using photogrammetry. This detail is translated into a machine readable instruction, which can be “written” into a deep pile carpet on top of the amplified floor. Unperceivable details are elevated to a tangible scale.
