the sculpture references rollover cages, a specially engineered and constructed frame built in
the passenger compartment of a vehicle to protect its drivers from being injured or killed in an
accident, particularly in the event of a rollover.
the cage is welded out of construction steel tubes and resembles a capsule-like shape. On the
inside, it is equipped with safety handles and a mouthguard, cast out of aluminum, which is attached to the cage with an engraved leather strap.
