Today’s world relationship is defined by reduction, distance and ‘objectivity.’ This way of thinking extends to all aspects of life. Expressing one’s personal experience now seems possible only through uniform standardization. An experience can only be trusted once it has been made comparable—so much so that the original, authentic quality of that experience is lost.
