Placeholders can be found everywhere. Attributes such as simplicity, intangibility or incomprehensibility are attributed to them. By attempting to grasp and understand placeholders, as well as to conserve their status, we have approached the topic and thereby the interplay of expectations, space and demarcation. In an explorative process, we approached the theme in order to better understand and grasp it for ourselves. In particular, we looked at the demarcation between the placeholder and its surroundings in connection with the resulting expectations. These considerations led to the creation of objects that conserve the fleeting status of a placeholder.
