Alexander Hahn — Der Nach-seher
Re-state, re-stage, re-enact (Short-term Project) — Winter 2021
As an Hommage to Joachim Sauter‘s "Der Zer-seher" this artwork is an experiment on the human vision. By instinct our eyes are always following any kind of motion. But what if the movement always stops, once the motion is focused? An algorithm tracks the viewer‘s gaze and only lets the blurry edge of their field of view being in motion. The sharp center of the focus is always frozen. Just like Tantalos was unable to drink, the viewer is never capable of enjoying the fantastic motion of onformative‘s digital artwork "Collide".
