Whether in Western or Eastern garden design, the shape of the circle is always an indispensable element. This symmetrical form shows a strong aesthetic and is an important metaphor for nature. Even in deeper meanings, the circle or so called round not only represents the perfect symmetry, but also interprets the essence of harmony, the universe, and nothingness.
In this work Round, trying to refract the state of the circle through the rotating kaleidoscope, in the structural design also refers to the meaning of the mandala representing the cosmic figure, by using the feature of the planetary gear, the pentagonal mirrors is embedded inside, which allows the viewer to find a balanced circle in the constantly changing image of the device.
